Powered by a turbocharged 1.6-litre engine, advanced four-wheel drive, and a six-speed sequential gearbox, it was developed to attack every surface—from snowy Swedish stages to rough gravel roads and high-speed tarmac. The Polo R WRC helped the brand secure four consecutive World Rally Championship manufacturers’ titles from 2013 to 2016; Ogier also won the drivers’ championship in each of those four years.
