Italian Body, American Heart
The Pantera was a unique collaboration: a mid-engine body designed by Tom Tjaarda at Ghia in Turin, wrapped around a Ford 351 Cleveland V8 sourced from Detroit. Sold through Ford Lincoln-Mercury dealers in the US from 1971, it put exotic supercar styling within reach of American buyers. Elvis Presley famously shot his Pantera with a pistol after it refused to start. Only 7,260 were ever made, and original examples command serious collector prices today. Our model captures the dramatic wedge profile and rear wing.
